The Day when we Achieved the True Freedom

On 1565-1898, the Spaniards colonized the Philippines, along with Japan who reigned in the year 1942-1945, and also the Americans. Many Filipino's suffered. Kids and women experienced the brutality of prostitution. They felt hatred towards these three nationalities who turn Filipino's into slaves.

What is Independence? For me Independence is one of the most important things that a human can achieve, without independence or freedom we can't do the things that we want to do and we can't say the things that we want to say.

But despite of those tragedies that the Filipino's experienced they stood up and broke free from the hands of the frightful colonizers, and on JUNE 12, 1898 the Philippines achieved the true freedom. And we are celebrating the Independence Day in the Philippines because we are remembering the hardships of our forefathers in liberating us from the cruelty of foreign invaders, and this day in our history we now have the freedom to express our ideas, voice, actions, and do anything we want that is within our own government law and within our own native land.
